CNC Programmer / Team Leader – Bristol
The Job
Reporting to Production Managers, this role will involve creating and managing CNC programs, leading a team of CNC machinists and having overall responsibility of the performance of the cell.
Primary Role Responsibilities
-
Offline CNC programming of 5-axis milling and turning operations for new and current parts
-
Daily leading of the machining team to maximise productivity
-
Liaising with other functions such as the Manufacturing Engineering and Quality teams on technical issues
-
Supporting team development, mentoring and being part of recruitment activities where necessary
-
Managing the TPM of the equipment, ensuring it functions optimally.

Executing the production plan as per the customer needs.
-
Making certain product standards and quality controls are maintained, and ensuring compliance with necessary health, safety and environmental policies and standards.

Supporting the setting and operating of the machines as required
-
Effectively working within a team environment
Desired Skill-set

Experience creating CNC programs for milling and turning

Excellent capability using various measuring equipment and techniques including CMMs
-
Experience leading a team

Experience using CNC machines

Excellent practical problem-solving ability

A demonstrated focus on achieving results

CNC Machinists (Turning, Milling or Grinding)
McBraida are hiring machinists to boost their capacity in order to respond to increasing customer orders.
Role function and key responsibilities

Setting and operating CNC machines to produce high-spec parts for the aerospace industry

Work as part of a team to ensure that key objectives are achieved.

Care of production equipment, thus ensuring it remains fit for purpose and functions optimally.

Following the production plan
-
Ensure product standards and quality controls are maintained, and ensure compliance with necessary health, safety and environmental policies and standards.

Work in line with internal processes, drawings and routings
-
Take part in training, including keeping up to date with the relevant Health & Safety standards.

Effectively work within a team environment, communicating with fellow team members

McBraida are hiring manual machinists to working in the tool room, supplying the rest of the factory with quality work-holding fixtures.

Manufacturing of fixtures using manual and NC milling and turning machine

Some manufacturing and machining of production components
